Italy (Italian: Italia) conjures dreams of love, romance, beautiful food, people and language. Italy has inspired countless poets, writers and film makers and continues to entice tens of millions of people to visit this diverse country every year.
The deep history that is visible in its buildings, art, architecture and people is also a major draw-card along with family ties that stretch back generations drawing Italians from all over the world ‘home’. Even for the uninitiated, the promise of seeing some of the most famous and celebrated sites in the world like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Colosseum of Rome, St Peters Basilica and the roof of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican the gondolas of Venice and the food, art and culture of Florence (to name too few) creates a sense of excitement.
Simply the idea of ‘Italy’ inspires many to travel there to experience it for themselves.

I wouldn’t call Italy a place of diversity, or a place that even wants to foster real diversity. Italians are quite widely known as racists.

I spent 5 months living and working on a campsite in Tuscany last summer (2009), it was the best experience of my life! I loved Florence, Siena, Viareggio and Pisa! I can not wait to go back again! I still miss it 4 months later!!

Italy is amazing! Venice was my favorite place! (we went to rome, florence, pisa, venice, la aquilla, and the amalfi coast/Capri). Venice is exactly how you imagine Italy to be and it doesn’t disappoint!! The Amalfi Coast and Capri are an entirely different world. If you do travel to Capri, find a “rent a boat” guy named Alfonso (can give you his number and all).. He took my sister and I around Capri for about 100 euros and we swam in all diff. grottos.. it was amazing – just watch out for the jelly fish!

Italy is FABULUOUS =] sigh the most amazing place ever =] Its a place of such diversity. So much history, culture, art and fabulous people. The breathtaking ‘eternal city’ of Roma, the amazing renaissance city of Florence, the city built on water with no cars Venezia, the tiny towns through Umbria and tuscany such as orvieto and assisi, with so much culture and tuscany sigh. As well as Italy having the winter olympics a few years ago in Turin, and Milan – The fashion capital of the world =] There is also the breathtaking amalfi coastline and the tiny amazing towns built into the cliffs. Its amazing, and thats only the places, the people are awesome. The guys, even better, they sure know how to make a girl feel special =] lol. Enjoy =] Just beware of pickpocketers and the summer weather !

Remember that you are no longer in “Kansas”. Italy is an amazing experience… and not comparable to anything else!
