More Tour and Travel Advice for New Zealand
Anyone arriving at Auckland Airport, either domestic or international, you can make your way to the Mercure Hotel (official site) by using the Air Bus. The Air Bus departs every 20 minutes from both terminals and tickets can be purchased from the driver.
When you book and pay for your tour you will receive a Travellers Guide booklet in the mail along with your Contiki documentation. If you mention Contiki and present your Travellers Guide booklet you will receive a 20% discount on the normal fare.
The Air Bus can also transfer you back to Auckland Airport for the same discounted price.
Air Bus operates between 6am and 10pm.
If you arrive or depart outside these hours Johnston’s Shuttle or Super Shuttle (official site) can also provide a transfer. Call toll free 0800 748 885 from within New Zealand.

A tip for people looking for a decent coffee shop.. if you don't already know about it, you will because most Contiki travellers find out about it - its The Grasshopper. Ask a local and they should be able to tell you where to find it.
